A Blast wallet is simply your 0x Ethereum address used on Blast, a layer 2 network that launched in 2024. On October 2, 2026, the Blast team announced it is winding the network down, because running it now costs more than it earns. If you still hold ETH, USDB or BLAST there, your only job is to move it back to Ethereum.
Blast set October 26, 2026 as the deadline for its regular withdrawal interface at blast.io/bridge. Funds left after that stay withdrawable, but only by calling Blast's bridge contracts yourself, which takes code and Ethereum gas. So don't send anything new to Blast, and withdraw as soon as you can. Figures below were checked on October 24, 2026.
Blast shutdown: what to do now#
Work through this list in order. Each step depends on the one before.
Find every balance. Check your own address, any Blast Mobile account, and apps where you deposited funds. Close lending, liquidity and staking positions first, because the bridge only moves tokens you hold directly.
Unwrap WETH. The bridge withdraws ETH, not WETH, so turn WETH back into ETH on Blast.
Keep gas on both sides. You need a little ETH on Blast to start the withdrawal and more ETH on Ethereum for the later steps.
Withdraw through the official bridge. Type
blast.io/bridgeinto your browser and connect a wallet that holds the funds.Finish the claim. A withdrawal isn't done until you claim it on Ethereum, about a day after you prove it.
Already started? The bridge saves your withdrawals. Reopen History on the bridge page with the same wallet, and a Continue button picks up where you stopped.
After October 26, 2026#
If the regular interface has closed, your funds aren't lost. Blast's docs publish manual guides for ETH, USDB and BLAST. Each one starts the withdrawal on Blast with a call to the L2BlastBridge contract (0x4300000000000000000000000000000000000005). Then you prove and finalize it on Ethereum through the OptimismPortal contract. Any Ethereum account can send those two steps, and the docs include TypeScript code for them.
Those guides are written for exchanges and custodians, though. The finalize call needs an explicit gas limit, or it reverts, and the final DAI claim for USDB must come from the receiving address. If you can't follow them yourself, ask someone you already trust. Never accept help from a stranger who messages you first.

How your Blast wallet address works#
Blast copied Ethereum's account model, so your Blast wallet address is the same 0x address you use on Ethereum, Base or Arbitrum. The same recovery phrase controls it everywhere.
In Keylo, every EVM network shares one address, derived on m/44'/60'/0'/0/0. MetaMask, Rabby and Trust Wallet use that path for their first account. So if you used Blast with one of them, importing that phrase shows the same address and its Blast balance.
The address matches, but the balances don't. ETH on Blast sits on Blast's ledger until you withdraw it. When it arrives on Ethereum, it lands at that same address, which is why Blast's guide tells you to use one wallet on both networks.
The Blast wallet app and smart contract wallets#
Blast Mobile, the Blast wallet app, works differently. It's a smart wallet with its own address. Blast's docs also warn that the app's seed phrase belongs to a different address, so importing it into MetaMask won't show your funds.
Instead, Blast tells app users to send ETH, USD and BLAST from Blast Mobile to a regular wallet on the Blast network, then withdraw from that wallet. Sending from the app is free, but include some ETH so the new wallet can pay to start the withdrawal. If you'll withdraw with MetaMask or Rabby, send straight to that wallet rather than to Keylo, which saves a transfer.
Never withdraw to your Blast Mobile address on Ethereum, because Blast says funds sent there may get stuck. The Blast Mobile withdrawal guide covers the Earn App too.
Smart contract wallets such as a Safe can't use the bridge website either. Blast publishes separate contract guides for them.
Which wallet can get your funds off Blast#
While the bridge site is open, the best Blast wallet is simply one that can sign on it. That narrows the choice.
Extension wallets. MetaMask (a browser extension and mobile app) and Rabby (a browser extension) connect to websites. They can sign the withdraw, prove and claim steps on
blast.io/bridge.Hardware wallets. A Ledger or similar device works through one of those extension wallets. It keeps the key off your computer, which suits large balances.
Exchange accounts. Exchanges can drop Blast deposits at any point during a wind-down. Use one only if its deposit page still lists Blast for your exact token.
Web wallets such as Keylo. Keylo shows your Blast balance and sends on Blast. However, it can't connect to the bridge site, so it can't finish a withdrawal.
Keylo still has a role. It shows your Blast and Ethereum balances side by side from one phrase, it can gather scattered funds into one Blast address before you withdraw, and it can hold your ETH once it's back on Ethereum.
How to open your Blast wallet in Keylo#
Keylo runs in any modern browser, with nothing to install.
On the sign-up page, fill in Full name, Email, Phone number, Password and Confirm password. Tick the terms box and tap Create account.
If Keylo shows "Check your inbox", click the link in that email.
Under "Set up your wallet", choose Import a recovery phrase and enter the 12 or 24 words from the wallet you used on Blast. If you never used Blast and only want a home for ETH on Ethereum, choose Create a new wallet instead.
Pick Blast in your asset list and compare the
0xaddress with the one you used before. If you created a new wallet, open Settings, then Recovery phrase. Enter your password, write the words on paper and confirm them.
Also in Settings, set up Two-factor authentication and an Anti-phishing code.
Your phrase is encrypted in the browser with a key derived from your password, and only that encrypted copy reaches Keylo's server. A password reset can't decrypt it, so the paper backup is what restores the wallet.
Keylo doesn't detect tokens on Blast by itself, so only ETH shows at first. To see the rest, go to Settings, Networks, Custom tokens, tap Add token and enter the contract, the symbol and 18 decimals. USDB is 0x4300000000000000000000000000000000000003, WETH is 0x4300000000000000000000000000000000000004 and BLAST is 0xb1a5700fA2358173Fe465e6eA4Ff52E36e88E2ad.
See your Blast and Ethereum balances in one place
Import the phrase you used on Blast. Keylo decrypts it only in your browser and shows the same 0x address on every EVM network.
How to withdraw ETH from Blast to Ethereum#
The withdrawal runs on Blast's own bridge, so first put your funds in a wallet that can connect to it. You have two options:
Import the same phrase into MetaMask or Rabby. The first account shows the same address, so the funds are already there. The trade-off is that your phrase now lives in two apps.
Make a fresh extension wallet and send your Blast funds to it from Keylo. This adds one transfer, but your Keylo phrase stays in one place.
Then follow Blast's withdrawal guide:
Type
blast.io/bridgeyourself and connect the wallet. Choose Withdraw, select ETH and enter an amount, leaving a little ETH on Blast for the fee. Click Submit, tick the confirmation box, click Withdraw and confirm.Wait up to an hour. Then switch the wallet to Ethereum Mainnet, click Prove Withdrawal and confirm.
Wait one day for the challenge period.
Open History, select the withdrawal, click Claim Withdrawal and confirm.
Your ETH arrives at the same address on Ethereum. In Keylo, it appears under Ethereum, not Blast.
Steps 2 and 4 are Ethereum transactions, so they cost mainnet gas in ETH. Check that you hold enough ETH on Ethereum before you start. Otherwise the withdrawal sits at the prove step until you top up.
USDB, WETH and BLAST: what arrives on Ethereum#
Not every token comes out the way it went in. Here is what Blast's guide says happens to each one.
On Blast | On Ethereum | Ethereum steps |
|---|---|---|
ETH | ETH | Prove, then claim |
WETH | Unwrap to ETH on Blast first | Same as ETH |
USDB | DAI | Prove, finalize, then claim |
BLAST | BLAST ( | Prove, then finalize |
USDB was Blast's yield-bearing dollar. On the way out it turns into DAI, and it takes the longest. After you finalize, processing can take up to another day before Claim Withdrawal lights up. So budget roughly two days, plus three Ethereum transactions.
For WETH, Blast's guide unwraps it through the WETH contract on Blastscan. You read your balance with balanceOf, then call withdraw with that amount. That's a contract call, which Keylo can't make, so do it in the extension wallet.
App tokens and memecoins are harder. If no bridge or exchange supports a token, it may have no way off Blast. Swap it for ETH in an app on Blast while liquidity lasts, then withdraw the ETH.
Sending and receiving on Blast with Keylo#
Sending from Keylo is useful for three things: moving funds into an extension wallet, consolidating accounts, and paying an exchange that still accepts Blast deposits.
Tap Send and pick ETH or a token on Blast.
In To, paste or scan the address. Keylo checks the format and checksum, and warns you if the address is a contract.
Enter an amount or tap Max. For ETH, Max holds back the network fee.
Tap Review, then pick Slow, Normal or Fast.
Check that the network says Blast and that the recipient and fee look right.
Tap Send. The status moves from "On its way" to "Sent", with a View on Blastscan link.
Receiving on Blast now makes sense only to collect funds already there, such as a balance from Blast Mobile or an app.
Tap Receive and choose Blast. The screen reads "Receive on Blast", with a QR code.
Tap Copy or Share, or let the sender scan the code.
As soon as the funds arrive, withdraw them to Ethereum.

Incoming transfers show up in your balance but not in Keylo's Activity list, which on Blast holds only what you sent from Keylo. To see a deposit, tap the link icon next to your address, which opens it on Blastscan.
Anyone who owes you money should pay you on Ethereum or another active network instead. Your address is identical there, so only the network choice changes.
Blast fees during the wind-down#
Blast charges fees in ETH, the OP Stack way. You pay for execution on Blast plus a small data fee for posting your transaction to Ethereum. Both are tiny: on October 24, 2026, a token transfer cost about a hundredth of a cent or less. The fee on Keylo's review screen includes both parts, and normal sends carry no Keylo fee.
The real cost of leaving sits on Ethereum. Proving and claiming are two mainnet transactions, and USDB adds a third. At busy times, those can cost more than a small Blast balance is worth. In that case, an exchange that still takes Blast deposits may be cheaper, if one supports your token.
If a Blast transfer from Keylo ever sits pending, tap Speed up to resend it with a higher fee.
What Keylo can't do on Blast#
Keylo's limits matter more than usual on a network that is closing, so here they are plainly.
No swap or bridge on Blast. You can't route funds out of Blast inside Keylo. Use the official bridge, the contract route or an exchange.
No dapp connections. There's no WalletConnect, so Keylo can't sign on
blast.io/bridge, Blastscan's contract pages or Blast apps.No NFTs. Keylo has no NFT view on Blast and can't send NFTs.
No staking, hardware wallets or card purchases.
Once your ETH is back on Ethereum, things get simpler. The swap and bridge page explains the routes available from there, and the Ethereum wallet guide covers sending and fees on mainnet. The networks page lists every network Keylo supports.
Blast shutdown scams and mistakes to avoid#
Shutdowns attract scammers, because people are rushed and expect unusual instructions. Watch for these.
Fake migration sites. Search ads, replies and token names point to copies of the Blast bridge that drain wallets. Type
blast.ioyourself and follow its "How to withdraw" link.Helpful strangers. Nobody from Blast will DM you, and a real withdrawal never needs your recovery phrase.
The wrong destination. Never withdraw to a Blast Mobile address on Ethereum, and never send new funds to Blast.
Missing the second half. A proved withdrawal still needs its claim. Check History until it says complete.
The wrong account. If Keylo shows a zero balance, you may have used a second MetaMask account or a different phrase. Withdraw from the wallet that actually holds the funds.
Keylo staff never ask for your phrase or password either. To reach the team, use the Keylo support page, and see how Keylo protects your wallet. If you're leaving Blast for another cheap layer 2, the Base wallet guide is a good next read.
Blast wallet FAQ#
Is Blast shutting down?
Yes. On October 2, 2026, the Blast team announced it is winding down the network because running it costs more than it earns. Users were asked to move assets, including balances in Blast's web app, to Ethereum mainnet. Blast set October 26, 2026 as the deadline for its regular withdrawal interface. After that, Blast says funds remain recoverable through its bridge contracts on Ethereum.
Can I withdraw from Blast with Keylo?
Not directly. Keylo has no swap or bridge on Blast and can't connect to the Blast bridge website. It can show your balance and send ETH or tokens on Blast. To withdraw, use the official bridge with an extension wallet such as MetaMask or Rabby, either by importing the same phrase or by sending your funds to a fresh wallet first.
How long does a Blast withdrawal take?
For ETH, about a day and an hour. After you start the withdrawal on Blast, you can prove it on Ethereum within about an hour. Then a one-day challenge period runs before you can claim. USDB takes longer, because it adds a finalize step and up to a day of processing. Each Ethereum step needs ETH for gas.
What happens to USDB when I withdraw from Blast?
It arrives on Ethereum as DAI, not as USDC or USDB. Blast's guide lists three Ethereum transactions for it: prove, finalize and claim. After you finalize, processing can take up to another day before the claim button becomes active. Plan for roughly two days in total, and keep enough ETH on Ethereum for all three transactions.
How do I withdraw from Blast after October 26, 2026?
Blast says funds stay withdrawable after its regular interface closes, but only through its bridge contracts. Its docs give contract guides for ETH, USDB and BLAST: start the withdrawal on Blast through the L2BlastBridge, then prove and finalize on Ethereum through the OptimismPortal, with code examples for each step. They're aimed at exchanges and custodians, so test a small amount first.
How do I get my funds out of the Blast wallet app?
The Blast wallet app, Blast Mobile, can't send straight to Ethereum. First withdraw anything in the Earn App back to the wallet. Then send ETH, USD and BLAST to a regular wallet such as MetaMask on the Blast network, including a little ETH for gas, and withdraw from there through the bridge. Never withdraw to your Blast Mobile address on Ethereum.
Why does my Blast balance show zero in Keylo?
Usually the funds sit at a different address. Check that you imported the phrase you used on Blast and that the address matches. Funds in Blast Mobile, a Safe or a second MetaMask account live elsewhere. USDB, WETH and BLAST only show once you add them by contract address. Also check Ethereum, in case a withdrawal already finished.
Is my Blast address the same as my Ethereum address?
Yes, for a regular wallet. Blast uses Ethereum's account model, so the same key gives the same 0x address on both networks. The balances are separate, though. That's why a Blast withdrawal lands at your own address on Ethereum. Blast Mobile and smart contract wallets are exceptions with their own addresses.
How do I contact Blast support?
Start with Blast's documentation at docs.blast.io. Its withdrawal guide ends with a troubleshooting list for common errors, such as a failed prove or claim when the wallet lacks ETH on Ethereum. Blast's site also links its Discord. Nobody from Blast will message you first, and no real support agent asks for your recovery phrase.
